Huntington Beach City Council
High School student, Nancy Rodriguez was interested in raising awareness on the topic of Teen Dating Violence/Abuse in the Huntington Beach area. As part of her Girl Scout Gold Award she invited middle school and high school aged girls to an event that she organized and planned all on her own. The event was a success and within ten short months she received a Proclamation from the mayor of Huntington Beach California proclaiming February as Teen Dating Violence & Awareness Month. We congratulate Nancy and we thank Mayor Hardy!
